I’ve finally reached an important milestone on the Trent Park model. A project to re-create the former second World War prison camp, housed in a stately home in North London. The building is soon to open as a  brand new museum Trent Park House of Secrets and my model will be exhibited there on permanent display. Now on day 174 of the build, the main house is completed, with both exterior and interior detail, including figures in Second World War uniforms, miniature furniture and working lighting. Naturally at this stage the museum doesn’t want me to give too much away, so images of all this will have to wait until the installation date. There’s still a fair bit more to do on the model before then as I begin the basement area, a subterranean warren of corridors and windowless chambers, which was home to the small army of secret listeners busy transcribing the conversations of the German prisoners, using a network of hidden microphones and state of the art gramophone recording devices. All of these details are to be re-created in miniature in the next few weeks!
