Last month was packed with very interesting work. There have been a few models commissioned and secret surprises, which I haven’t been able to publish yet, but one that I can show you is this amazing house. The architecture is not unusual for London, especially in the suburbs, where a massive building boom at the beginning of the 20th century created streets and streets of similar properties. What makes this house so special? It’s simply the memories of the people who once owned it. The house is located in Enfield, the family moved out some years ago and now live abroad. They have such good memories of this as their family home: the colours of the paint, the net curtains at the windows, even a couple of bottles of milk on the doorstep bring back happy memories for them. They commissioned a model to capture the house as it was in the 1990s, to be a permanent record of the most familiar aspect of their daily lives. It was great to be able to provide them with exactly what they wanted.
